International Facility Management Association Certified Facility Manager Exam Review Course

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), in conjunction with the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), is offering a review course for the Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) exam at a specially-reduced rate for SAME and IFMA members. This course is offered in conjunction with (but prior to) the 2007 Pacific/Northwest Region Joint Education and Training Conference, hosted by the SAME Anchorage Post February 27 – March 2 2007

The review course allows qualified Certified Facility Manager (CFM) candidates to review IFMA materials while providing the opportunity to meet and network with fellow SAME members in a conference setting. Review sessions break with the Conference as a whole to maximize the networking opportunities. Before registering for the class, you must determine your eligibility through IFMA.

When and Where Will the Course be Held?

The review course will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007 and Monday, February 26, 2007 with the exam to be administered on Tuesday, February 27th. The course will run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Hilton Anchorage in the Lupine Room. The course is a total of 16 hours, and registration will be limited to approximately 24 people. The on-site CFM exam is offered Tuesday, February 27, 2007. The exam will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., and will also be held in the Hilton Anchorage Lupine Room. In order to take the on-site exam, you must complete the application for the exam on the IFMA web site.

How Much Does it Cost?

This CFM exam review course is offered to SAME and IFMA Public Sector members at a reduced rate of $300; IFMA members in the Private Sector may register for the course for $495. By comparison, the CFM review course for non-IFMA Members costs $695. Through this partnership, course attendees may then take the CFM Exam for $300; the typical non-member price of the exam is $600. An on-site exam is being offered February 28, 2007 at a cost of $300

CFM candidates do not have to register for the, 2007 Pacific/Northwest Region Joint Education and Training Conference in Anchorage Alaska, the Hilton Hotel will honor the conference room rate for the CFM Review Course participants. IFMA members attending the course are welcome to register for the conference at the SAME member price.
