The Anchorage Post is located in Anchorage, Alaska and has approximately 400 individual and 60 sustaining members. The post was founded by Brigadier General Benjamin B. Talley, USA (Retired) in 1943.

2009 Annual Banquet

Please join us for our annual banquet on Saturday, 24 January 2009 at the Egan Center. Cocktails start at 6:00 pm with dinner served at 7:00. Our guest speaker will be Ms. Fran Ulmer, Chancellor of UAA.

Continuing Education Opportunity - Addressing Uncertainty in Cost Estimating (1.2 PDHs)

This course will provide participants with an overview of current cost estimating practice and an appreciation of the importance of cost estimating. The cost is $500 per person and will be held on Thursday & Friday, 12 & 13 February 2009. Signup is required on or before 28 January. Note new time!

Monthly Luncheon

Our next monthly luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, 26 February 2009 at 11:30am. Note! There is no January luncheon in lieu of our annual banquet.

Executive Board Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Friday, 30 January 2009 at 6:30 am at the Country Kitchen restaurant (346 E. Fifth Avenue, next to the Sheraton Hotel).

2007 Pacific/Northwest Region Joint Education and Training Conference

The SAME Anchorage Post hosted the 2007 Northwest/Pacific Region conference, which occurred between 27 February and 2 March 2007. Our web site is still up and running, where you can look over the venue and download briefings from the training and education sessions.

The conference was a huge success! The SAME Anchorage Post thanks everyone for their generous contributions, sponsorships, and help making this important event a big success!!
