Monthly Luncheons

Unless there is another major event taking place, The SAME Anchorage Post meets monthly where we enjoy fellowship, networking, and, of course, a great lunch. We generally meet on the last Thursday of each month from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome – if it’s your first luncheon with us, be sure to let someone know!

The date, time, lunch cost, and presentation topic of our next luncheon is provided on our home page in the Announcements section. You can also visit our events calendar page for our annual events calendar.

I’d Like to Speak at a Luncheon – How do I Sign Up?

Presentations generally relate to some sort of engineering problem and ways that the problem was solved or overcome; the Alaska economy; education, military programs; innovative contracting methods; and technology transfer. Politically motivated and marketing focused presentations are discouraged.

Remember that your target audience are engineers and scientists – presentations with a technical focus are usually well received. Although it’s generally easy to entertain the crowd, be prepared for the occasional tough question!
