The Anchorage Post is located in Anchorage, Alaska and has approximately 400 individual and 60 sustaining members. The post was founded by Brigadier General Benjamin B. Talley, USA (Retired) in 1943.

Bouncing E-Mail

The number of e-mails getting rejected from postmaster@list.sameanchorage.org is reaching pandemic levels. Many of these appear to be members that have moved onto other things. However, there are numerous messages that are getting rejected at the recipient's mail server.

I have attempted to contact many of the suspect blocks through my day job e-mail address but it's difficult to reach everyone. If you suspect that you are getting blocked, please tell your IT department to put IP address 69.178.2.149 on their white list. If for some reason you cannot send e-mail to the web/postmaster, e-mail me at tad.dean@bp.com or call me at 771-8111. Thanks - Webmaster.

Monthly Luncheon

Our next monthly luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, 23 July 2009 at 11:30am.

We will probably meet again at the Anchorage Moose Lodge. A pizza lunch will likely be available for $5.

Note! There will be no meeting in June in lieu of the golf tournament.

Executive Board Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Friday, 26 June 2009 at 6:30 am at the Country Kitchen restaurant (346 E. Fifth Avenue, next to the Sheraton Hotel).

2007 Pacific/Northwest Region Joint Education and Training Conference

The SAME Anchorage Post hosted the 2007 Northwest/Pacific Region conference, which occurred between 27 February and 2 March 2007. Our web site is still up and running, where you can look over the venue and download briefings from the training and education sessions.

The conference was a huge success! The SAME Anchorage Post thanks everyone for their generous contributions, sponsorships, and help making this important event a big success!!
