The Anchorage Post is located in Anchorage, Alaska and has approximately 400 individual and 60 sustaining members. The post was founded by Brigadier General Benjamin B. Talley, USA (Retired) in 1943.

Continuing Education Opportunity - Addressing Uncertainty in Cost Estimating (1.2 PDHs)

This course will provide participants with an overview of current cost estimating practice and an appreciation of the importance of cost estimating. The cost is $500 per person and will be held on Thursday - Friday 4 - 5 December 2008.

Monthly Luncheon

Our next monthly luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, 20 November 2008 at 11:30am. This month, Ms. Jackie Poston from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation will present on the impact of global warming on Alaska.

***Note Meeting Location Change!!***Our meeting place has changed to the University Center (between the Old and New Seward Highway - 3901 Old Seward Highway), Room 143 (operated by the Univ of Alaska). , starting at 1130. Pizza will be provided for $5 per head.

Executive Board Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Friday, 21 November 2008 at 6:30 am at the Country Kitchen restaurant (346 E. Fifth Avenue, next to the Sheraton Hotel).



2007 Pacific/Northwest Region Joint Education and Training Conference

The SAME Anchorage Post hosted the 2007 Northwest/Pacific Region conference, which occurred between 27 February and 2 March 2007. Our web site is still up and running, where you can look over the venue and download briefings from the training and education sessions.

The conference was a huge success! The SAME Anchorage Post thanks everyone for their generous contributions, sponsorships, and help making this important event a big success!!
